Cross stitch and sewing finishes

After YEARS I decided to start finishing things that are waiting in boxes, boxes under boxes, and boxes hidden by a pile of boxes behind another one... and all those kits, waiting to be done in baskets, keeping company to the charts, waiting in a binder, just for the hypothetical & unlikely chance to see me having any interest in them... do you see what I mean ? Yep, years of a big mess of unfinished things.
I love taking part into challenges, as it's a great way to dig through those heaps of "last chance before the bin" things... and see if I can finish/stitch/sew some.
Here we go, thanks to Augustine Bobine who is offering those challenges quite often, I finished not only some matching the "reindeer/deer/moose" thema given, but some others as well...

tralala design, finished as a tiny "vitrine" because... it's all I had to frame it and I try to buy nothing (as far as possible) to finish what I have

the picture is awful, sorry, I couldn't find a way to take a better pic with the flash, and the house is very dark (because of all the fabrics/curtains/plastic sheets I had to use to try to make the house less cold) so I can't do without the flash....

It's not showing up but the fabric is hand-dyed, so it looks like a marbbled one

this is so old I can't remember who the designer was or when I stitched this.. LOL

I found a Mill Hill frame in my stash that is at the right size. Perfect ! I was so surprise to see there are 2 holes and a kind of rod at the back of the frame. It took me some time to understand it's working like a foot for the frame. Clever (and cheap). An idea I might re-use

Heart in Hand kit

Lizzie*Kate design, I used some sparklng thread for the hat, but it's not showing on the picture :-(

I used to like a lot this designer, but after she retired she did something I really found... weird and quite unfair (let's say it : un respectful) for the cross stitch shops... so I think I'll no more stitch things from her...I'll finish what I have, but my left over charts will all be sold, even if I didn't stitch the chart. It's the same with a couple of other designers (for other reasons) who will never get my money again... *deception*

Sheep challenge (sewing - felt - cross stitch)

I've been searching high and low to get the magazine this pattern came in... no success... but I finally discovered you can buy it from a website (pdf pattern) so I went for this solution. I just replaced the brown background with purple, and all the buttons (bobbins and such) by very simple ones (found those on a very old shirt). I also repaired my sheep measuring tape (wind-up one) and added my floss bobbins (by Just Another Button Company)

Tone Finnanger (Tilda) pattern, I already made several in the past and offered those to ex friends or charity sales... I was regretting deeply not to have kept a set, so... here they are, and it's great because I finished my "towel type" fabric stash (I am in a major stash reduction)

same for this one, I made so many, and none for me. Now I have one !

My favorite mice - crafts related

I felt in love with those mice quite a long time ago. I like this designer who has such a colored life  (and look) !

Of course they are not for sale, no way for me to get one.

Soooooo.... guess what ? 

After selling another doll I was planning to have my heating system repaired, but noooo.... it's too old, and it would cost a fortune to repair or change it.... I believe I'll have to face another winter without heating and hot water to wash myself, or the dishes... I was in deep need of something to cheer me up...That's how I decided to order my Christmas gift earlier than I first planned, and so I got myself a book, by Gail Bussi, showing how to make those kind of cute mice, and some patterns to make them a wardrobe. Not sure I'll ever find a time for this, but I still like the idea of having the book ! I'm pretty sure that someday, if I end finding some time, I'll be able to make some with legs, like the ones in the video... 

Creative challenge (not Sylvanian related)

Augustine Bobine is offering a new challenge for the creative people, be it sewn, stitched or so you have up to the mid november to create a sheep and send her the picture. You don't publish the pic on your own blog before the end of the challenge, to let her show 1rst all the creations. Nothing to win, just a funny challenge ! I'll try to participate, my health is totally awful I'm suffering much but it's gonna be a good way to finish a couple of projects I started long ago

C'est fou ce que j'ai bidouillé, quand même....

J'en retrouve partout... ce qui est bien, c'est que comme je suis maintenant seul maître à bord, je vais pouvoir les mettre sur les murs au lieu de les mettre dans des cartons...
Peut-être en vendre quelques uns... à voir

et mes affreux, qui -perso- me font beaucoup rigoler, mais que tout le monde déteste...
 

Pour une association locale

J'ai trié plein de choses que j'avais faites pour un marché de Noël où finalement on ne m'a pas acceptée (vous voulez que je vous reparle de la sympathie des gens du coin ou c'est bon ?) et je me suis dit que j'allais faire un groooooos carton pour une association locale qui fait du secours animalier en fournissant en matériel/nourriture d'autres associations qui ont besoin d'aide.

J'ai tellement de choses faites, et qui ne servent à rien... autant que ça aide un peu !

Je rajouterai tout un lot de peluches, j'ai beaucoup donné à une autre association qui "vend" des peluches 5€ pour faire un peu d'argent et faire faire des activités aux enfants hospitalisés. J'en ai beaucoup qui dorment encore dans les cartons, bien rangées par année... hihi

Rétrospective

Petite rétrospective de travaux offerts à des gens, je ne sais plus trop qui/quand. J'en ai offert bien d'autres mais presque toutes mes photos "papier" ont été détruites (l'ex mari a trouvé amusant de stocker les photos à l'extérieur de la maison, sur un balcon), et j'ai perdu beaucoup de photos numériques dans le crash de mon ordinateur (n'achetez pas Asus, ou alors remplacez tout de suite l'alimentation, qui est défectueuse). J'ai retrouvé mon carnet des "no no" à savoir le carnet dans lequel je marquais des noms d'ex amies, et pourquoi elles sont passées d'amies à ex amies... C'est triste, si triste... je sais que j'en ai beaucoup souffert, surtout que j'ai beaucoup gâté certaines qui m'ont bien prise pour une imbécile... Je suis heureuse de n'avoir pas perdu ce carnet, parmi les choses détruites par l'ex mari, parce qu'au moins ces personnes-là, même si je ne m'en "souviens" pas, je SAIS qu'il faut me tenir à distance.
